Diagnosis
The audiologist at Wellear will see if you have an earwax blockage by looking in your ear. We use a special tool that lights and magnifies your inner ear (otoscope) to look inside your ear canal.

Hearing Test
Our audiologist will use Microsuction to remove earwax build up. This is the process of removing wax from your ears by using a small suction tube and probe to gently remove any excess wax in the ear. Microsuction is generally preferred method of wax removal. All of our audiology professionals are NHS trained.

Aftercare & advice
If earwax buildup continues, you may need to visit us once or twice a year for regular cleaning. Our audiologist may also recommend that you use earwax-softening agents such as saline, mineral oil or olive oil. This helps loosen the wax so that it can leave the ear more easily.
